jr. rangers

Mama joined a gym today.  With free (awesome!) childcare.  I checked on them twice and they were playing Candy Land & Twister.  Looking forward to that outing everyday and shedding some lbs. and toning up this rear.  When we left, I promised Davis a visit to the new & improved visitor's center at Assateague Island!  It was incredible.  We got there right before the "Sea Critters" program.  Once it was complete, the kids filled out a mini booklet about facts they learned and became Jr. Rangers!
It was absolutely precious.  They took such pride in this task.
We learned some really cool facts today...  Did you know that Horseshoe Crabs drain blue blood and they have eyes on their tails?  The ranger told us they use it in some vaccines as well.
They had to be sworn in by raising their right hand and making a pledge to protect the national park beaches.  It was the cutest thing I've ever seen!

They earned some really cool (plastic- ha!) badges and guess who wore them with such pride?
He dressed himself up like a ranger today and walked around giving us all the rules of the house.

A fun morning indeed!
